Either tour offers a great way to become familiar with Galveston Island and help plan your stay.

Cool Tours’ East End Historic City Tour is Galveston Island’s most comprehensive sightseeing tour of the Historic East End. The tour covers Seawall Blvd where we provide live narration of the history of Galveston Island and the City of Galveston including Galveston’s heyday as the Wall Street of the Southwest, the Great Storm of 1900, the building of Seawall Blvd, and the grade-raising of the Island; then you will see the mansions of Broadway Ave; the 19th century Victorian homes and tree sculptures of the East End Historic District; Pier 21 amusement attractions; Historic Strand District with its shopping, museums, and restaurants; the art galleries, cafes and night life of Post Office StreetThe Grand 1894 Opera House; the Historic Downtown District; and the Silk Stocking Historic District, and more!

During the tours, you will learn about over 30 entertainment attractions and hear interesting stories about Galveston Island’s unique history.

TOUR SCHEDULE. LOADING LOCATION AND PARKING

Our tours load near the intersection of 25th & Seawall Blvd on the beach-side of Seawall Blvd and to the left of the Galveston Historic Pleasure Pier, if you are facing it. The times shown below are Departure times. We begin loading 15 minutes prior to departure.

  • New Years Day to Memorial Day – open Tuesday thru Saturday – 2:00 and 3:30; closed Sunday and Monday
  • Memorial Day to Labor Day – open Tuesday thru Sunday – 10:00, 11:30, 2:00, 3:30; closed Monday
  • Labor Day to November 30 – open Tuesday thru Saturday – 2:00, 3:30; closed Sunday and Monday
  • December 1 to New Years Day – all tours closed for winter break

Note: For groups of 8 or more, we are available for tours on days we are normally scheduled to be closed. Call 409-539-5374 and we will be happy to discuss your plans.

Parking is available along the seawall or next to the Fish Tales restaurant at the intersection of 25th & Seawall Blvd.

TICKET SALES

Same-Day Ticket Sales: Same-day tickets sales are on a first-come first-serve basis. Tickets can be purchased on the day of the tour at the bus at our loading location at 25th & Seawall Blvd.

Advanced Reservations: Advanced reservations can be made AT LEAST 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE by calling 409-539-5374. We require a credit card to secure the reservation; however, you do not need to pay for the tickets until you arrive for the tour. Your card will only be charged in the event of a no-show without at least 24 hours notice, in which case your card will be charged the full ticket price. Note: If you do not arrive at the loading location to purchase your reserved tickets at least 15 minutes prior to tour time, your reservations will be cancelled. 

Private Tours: Our tour buses are available for private tours. Each tour bus holds up to 22 passengers. Call 409-539-5374 and we will be happy to discuss our custom tour options.

Group Discounts: For groups of 6 or more, we offer $1 off each ticket for the Historic Tour.
