Our Favorite Events for September;
Buccaneer Bash hosted by the Galveston West Beach Lion’s Club is back for the sixth straight year. Saturday September 5th, 2015 is the date for this fun filled evening dinner dance. Once again Jamaica Beach Park on Galveston’s West End is the location for the Buccaneer Bash. Jamaica Beach Park is located at 16721 Jolly Roger, 77554. This FREE dinner dance begins at 6:00 PM and ends at 10:00 PM. David Schwopes and his fabulous band are being featured for the sixth year. If you like Rock N Roll m
usic, this event is for you. Beer, wine, soft drinks, and water is available for purchase. Bar B Que dinners are being served for $10.00.
A Silent auction, 50/50, and raffle will be held as usual. “The Lost Treasure Give-a-Way” is the highlight of the evening. Promptly at 9:oo PM the drawing will begin for six prizes of $300, $400, $500, $800, $1,000, & $10,000. There will be only 300 tickets sold for this drawing. The tickets are $100 each and come with 1 Bar B Que dinner included. If you’ve never seen someone win $10,000 then come to the Buccaneer Bash and experience the excitement. Who knows it may be you. Shrimp Festival will return to Saengerfest Park at 2302 Strand, in downtown Galveston. This years event is from Friday, September 25 – Sunday, September 27. If you like Shrimp and Shrimp Gumbo, then this may become one of your Favorite Events too! As usual 
the “Outdoor Show” (The old Boat & RV Show) will be held in conjunction with the Galveston Shrimp Festival. This is three days of family fun and Shrimp, Shrimp, & Shrimp. I think you are getting the idea. If you like shrimp then you won’t want to miss this outstanding Annual Galveston attraction.
The Shrimp Gumbo Cook-Off, FREE Outdoors Show, vendor exhibits and live music will be held in Historic Strand District on Saturday, September 26 beginning at 10:00 AM. Visitors to the festival will be able to purchase a Gumbo Sampling Cup in advance for $10 plus tax for a limited time only. This cup will allow guests to sample gumbo from over 60 cook-off teams comprised of amateur and professional cookers from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM on Saturday, September 26.
